QUOTING
We pride ourselves in providing quotes on a timely manner and will communicate when we will get a quote back. Generally, we perform development work on a time-and-materials basis, but we can also quote a fixed price. We estimate the project costs in advance. We try and break projects into phases with definite goals and end points in order to evaluate project progress. We report progress in writing at requested intervals--usually monthly.

RATES
Pro Design Engineering uses experienced engineers paired up with one or more CAD designers. Mechanical engineering design rates vary from $75/hr. to $125/hr. on a typical project with CAD designers time ranging from $35/hr. to $60/hr. The ranges vary depending on the category and experience level of the personnel and the scope of the project. Forensic engineering rates quoted separately. We maintain our rates at the agreed levels for the duration of the project.

QUICK PROTOTYPES/FABRICATION
We quote any prototypes, components, assemblies, molded parts, piece parts, and/or fabricated piece parts separately. We specialize in quick lead time machining and fabrication of many varieties. We give customers the option to obtain any components from their own preferred vendors.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY/PATENTS
All patents and intellectual property rights arising directly from our work belongs exclusively to our client.

CONFIDENTIALITY/CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Because of the nature of the business, we maintain all information provided by clients in strictest confidence. We communicate any possible conflict of interest before moving forward in the quoting process.

REFERENCES/PAST PROJECTS
We would be happy to furnish references who have knowledge of our work ethics and performance. We obtain permission from them in advance for any communication from potential clients. We also have a photo portfolio of past non-sensitive projects we could share upon request. We want clients to trust we have the experience and the background to complete any project we undertake.
